Torrens Connect Addendum and PRES Training
Introduction:
Torrens Connect Rulebook Addendum and PRES (Person Responsible for Electrical Safety)
Torrens Connect Rulebook Addendum training is designed to contextualise the National Code of Practice Safeworking Rules to the Torrens Connect Light Rail Network, defining how rules and procedures apply to the Network to be able to operate safely in the Light Rail environment.
PRES (Person Responsible for Electrical Safety) training program includes the training and assessment for persons responsible for electrical safety duties.
Purpose Statement/Objective
This course will enable persons who hold Safeworking National Units of Competency to work as a Competent Worker in the Adelaide Light Rail Network.
PREREQUISITES
Note: Course Participants will need to hold ARTC Track Worker Level 1 as a minimum to attending this training.
COURSE STRUCTURE AND DURATIONS
Addendum training will cover the following content / topics:
- Course Introduction
- The Tram Network
- Forms Used for Work on Track
- Lookout Working
- Track Occupancy Authority
- Track Work Authority
- AMPRN Network
- Electrical Danger
- Approach Distance
- Isolation Procedure
- Risk and Hazards
- Incident Response
ASSESSMENT STRATEGY
To achieve a pass mark in the Addendum course you are required to successfully complete the following assessment events:
Assessment Event 1: Written Questions
Assessment Event 2: Complete Safeworking Forms
To achieve a pass mark in the PRES course you are required to successfully complete the following assessment events:
Assessment Event 1: Written Assessment
Assessment Event 2: Practical Assessment Demonstration and Verbal Questions
The assessments will be open book and you must receive 100% in all assessments to qualify.
You have two attempts at each assessment and will be given feedback prior to a second attempt (if a second attempt is required).
QUALIFICATIONS
If successful, a Non-Accredited Certificate of Attendance for Torrens Connect Tram Rules Addendum and PRES (Person Responsible for Electrical Safety Duties) will be issued and uploaded against your RIW (Note: to upload we will need your RIW number at enrolment).
REACCREDITATION
Reaccreditation courses are required every 3 years (36 months).
