Introduction:
QR3.18 Managing Rail Traffic
This course is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to pilot rail traffic within Track Authority limits.
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Explain and demonstrate the process for rail traffic entering the Track Authority
- Explain and demonstrate the process for rail traffic required to be stabled within the limits of a Protection Method
- Explain and demonstrate the process for rail traffic moving within the Track Authority
- Explain and demonstrate the process for rail traffic departing the Track Authority.
Learners who successful complete the above will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for
TLIC0025 Pilot rail traffic within work on track authority limits – this unit forms part of TLI32721 Certificate III in Track Protection

QR Certificate of Achievement for “QR3.18” Managing Rail Traffic”
PREREQUISITES
A qualified Queensland Rail Protection Officer (QNRP) that has achieved 6 months monitoring
ASSESSMENT
The learners will be assessed to determine their competence using both a theory and practical assessment.

Course: 4 hours 3 – 6 months mentoring
